Appointment notice – Millan Mulraine
Ron Mock, President and CEO, Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan (Ontario Teachers'), is pleased to announce the appointment of Millan Mulraine to the position of Director and Chief Economist. Mr. Mulraine reports to Michael Wissell, Senior Vice-President, Portfolio Construction.
Mr. Mulraine joins Ontario Teachers' after close to 10 years with TD Securities, most recently as the Deputy Chief Economist in New York where he was responsible for directing U.S. economic research and rates strategy. He holds an undergraduate degree in Economics and Statistics from the University of the West Indies in Jamaica, a Masters in Economics from the University of Warwick in England and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Toronto.
Ontario Teachers' is Canada's largest single-profession pension plan, with $171.4 billion in net assets at December 31, 2015. It holds a diverse global portfolio of assets, 80% of which is managed in-house, and has earned an annualized rate of return of 10.3% since the plan's founding in 1990.
