Appointment notice – Ken Manget and Hersh Joshi
Ron Mock, President and CEO, Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan (Teachers'), is pleased to announce the promotion of Hersh Joshi to the role of Vice-President, Taxation, and the appointment of Ken Manget to the role of Vice-President, Infrastructure. Mr. Joshi reports to David McGraw, Senior Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer; Mr. Manget reports to Andrew Claerhout, Senior Vice-President, Infrastructure.
Mr. Joshi has worked for Teachers' for six years and has held roles of increasing responsibility, most recently as Director, Taxation. Prior to joining Teachers', he worked at KPMG in their Taxation Services, Financial Institutions and Real Estate group. Mr. Joshi is a Chartered Accountant and a Certified Public Accountant, and holds a Masters of Taxation from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Delhi.
Mr. Manget joins Teachers' from Desjardins Capital Markets, where he was Managing Director and Head of Investment Banking. Prior to that, he was Managing Director of Equity Capital Markets and Head of Income Funds for BMO Capital Markets. Mr. Manget holds an MBA from Harvard University and a B.Sc. (Mechanical Engineering) from the University of Toronto.
With $140.8 billion in net assets as at December 31, 2013, Teachers' is the largest single-profession pension plan in Canada. An independent organization, it invests the pension fund's assets and administers the pensions of 307,000 active and retired Ontario teachers.
