Appointment notice – Stephen Solursh

Ron Mock, President and Chief Executive Officer, Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan (Teachers'), is pleased to announce the promotion of Stephen Solursh to Vice-President and Associate General Counsel.

Mr. Solursh joined Teachers' in 2010 and was most recently Senior Legal Counsel, Investments.  He is responsible for managing the Investment Counsel team, which works on a variety of domestic and international transactions across Teachers' asset groups.  He reports to Jeff Davis, General Counsel, Senior Vice-President, Corporate Affairs and Corporate Secretary.

Mr. Solursh holds a Master of Law (LL.M) from Columbia University School of Law; a Bachelor of Law (LL.B) from York University, Osgoode Hall Law School; and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto.

With $140.8 billion in net assets as at December 31, 2013, Teachers' is the largest single-profession pension plan in Canada.  An independent organization, it invests the pension fund's assets and administers the pensions of 307,000 active and retired Ontario teachers.
