Teachers’ celebrates expansion of EMEA office in London
The Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan (Ontario Teachers') is increasing its presence in Europe, the Middle East and Africa with the expansion of its London office.
Ontario Teachers' senior executives hosted the official opening of the expanded office at 10 Portman Square on September 24, with more than 250 members of the investment community.
The expansion reflects Ontario Teachers' continued interest in, and commitment to, the EMEA region. The new, larger office will bring together teams from multiple asset classes under one roof, including Private Capital, Relationship Investing, Long-term Equities and Infrastructure.
"Ontario Teachers' first put down roots in London in 2007, and began with two significant direct investments. Now we are direct investors in some 30 companies in the U.K. and Europe. Investments in the EMEA region at the end of last year totalled about $22 billion, with nearly five billion pounds in the U.K. alone." said Jo Taylor, Managing Director, EMEA.
In addition to its London and Toronto offices, Teachers' also has an Asia-Pacific region office in Hong Kong.
