The plans are offered by Entente Education Canada (formerly RTOERO) through belairdirect and two are offered by the Ontario Teachers’ Insurance Plan (OTIP). Premiums for these plans can be deducted from your pension payment.

Why doesn’t Ontario Teachers’ provide medical and dental benefits for retired teachers?
Some employers provide health benefits to their retired employees. We’re not an employer of teachers and can’t provide health benefits in the same way. The Income Tax Act doesn’t allow registered pension plans to provide health benefits.
