Cindy Yan leads the investment activities and portfolio management for Private Capital direct investment in the Asia-Pacific region for Ontario Teachers’. She is based in Ontario Teachers’ Hong Kong office.

She has over two decades of combined experience in Private Equity, Management Consulting and General Management/Corporate Operations.  Prior to joining Ontario Teachers, Cindy was a Partner with Advantage Partners, an established Japan and Asia focused mid-cap buyout firm, where she led various buyout and late-stage growth investments, and Japan/Asia cross border portfolio value creation in Asia Pacific countries including Japan, Greater China and Southeast Asia.  The investments are across Technology, Industrial, Business Services, and Health/Consumer sectors.  Prior to that, she worked at Boston Consulting Group and the 999 Group.

Cindy holds a BA from Sichuan International Studies University and MBA from Harvard Business School.
