Steve Saldanha leads the Total Fund Management department, informing our overall asset mix, overseeing our trading activities, and integrating our portfolio construction with our treasury and funding capabilities.

He joined Ontario Teachers' in 2006 and has held various roles of increasing responsibility, specializing in active public market investments across various asset classes in both emerging and developed countries. Most recently Steve was responsible for portfolio management and asset allocation.

Prior to joining Ontario Teachers' in 2006, Steve was a portfolio manager at TD Asset Management and CT Investment Management and was an economist at CIBC World Markets, Nesbitt Burns and TD Securities.

Steve is a CFA charterholder and holds an MA in Economics from the University of Toronto.
