Tracy oversees the key operational activities and their integration and deployment across Ontario Teachers’. These activities include:, Information Technology, Enterprise Service Delivery and Real Estate Operations.

Tracy Abel joined Ontario Teachers’ in 1987 and assumed positions of increasing responsibility before becoming Chief Pensions Officer in 2014 and Chief Operations & Pension Officer in 2020. During her time as Chief Pension Officer, she was a key contributor in Ontario Teachers' Member Services ranking first among its peer group, and number one internationally, for exceptional pension service for three consecutive years, according to CEM Benchmarking.  She was also instrumental in developing solutions that better serve the needs of 333,000 members at all stages of their career or retirement through a realignment of the Client Service department.

Tracy holds an MBA from the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto and a BA (Hons.) in Sociology from York University.
